Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, affiliated with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was established as the first traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) medical institution by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It is widely recognized as the “Cradle of Distinguished TCM Physicians in Shanghai.”

Building on the hospital’s rich heritage of distinguished TCM experts and its strong capabilities in integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, the International Medical Department specializes in three core areas: integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, non-pharmacological therapies, and preventive healthcare grounded in TCM principles (“Preventive Treatment of Disease”). The International Medical Department brings together the hospital’s leading clinical resources, including three National Regional TCM Centers specializing in Acupuncture, Tuina (TCM manual therapy), and Dermatology, as well as premier integrated medical centers in Cardiology, Oncology, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Neurology, and Gastroenterology. We provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary services spanning Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Acupuncture, Tuina, Rehabilitation, and more.
