"Tuina treatment of cervical spine by the tendon mechanism and clinical application" and "Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment and clinical system construction and clinical application" has won the 2009 and 2014 Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award first prize. The Tuina branch of Shanghai TCM Tuina Institute which contains a national 3rd degree laboratory locates in our hospital. The gait analysis lab is about to be certified internationally.

　　Tuina Department has the earliest doctoral degree authorization center and post-doctoral station of TCM tuina were founded right here. There are 3 doctoral tutors, 12 master tutors. So far training nearly 200 graduate students. We have nearly 30 visiting scholars and holding national continuing education project 5 times each year.

　　More than 300 dissertations and hundreds of books have been released since 1959, i.e. “Science of Tuina”, “Basics of Tuina”, “Manipulations of Tuina”, “Tuina for Pediatrics”, “Diagram of Tuina manipulations”.
